In Strifes is Johnny Nichols’ debut full length album. Pre Production Began Summer 2012 and was finally finished Spring 2014. Johnny used the title ‘Strifes’ due to the contradictions he noticed within himself and the relationships of loved ones around him. Also, lyrically, the album constantly switches moods from anger, happiness, apathy, and depression.
Johnny performed all the sounds heard on this album, with the designed challenge to make the songs sound live and raw like a band.

“Since i first learned the guitar, i always wanted to make a folk record. The Polite Bandits’ debut full length album. Originally Released Summer 2010. The drums were tracked in just two 4 hour block sessions at a local rehearsal studio, and the rest was recorded at Johnny’s home.
